we stop at a state hospital…it’s a confusing place and somehow we realize I’m queued up to see a gynecologist. At least I got to use the time to call my fixer in Republic of Georgia…he says that we have to use a helicopter to get to the folks in the small, Kartvelian speaking villages in the Caucasian mountains and he is still working on the problem that this particular tribe of folks likes to rob foreigners. He talks about having a hard time getting insurance for this trip… and not wanting to go the local “criminal structures.” I wonder what the insurance is for…
