: Tame the Bulls for Ceremony

Preparing the bulls for jumping, Mazes live together in the bush. Their only job is to run bull jumping manhood ceremonies. When they marry they will get a dowry and perhaps some land, but at this time in their lives, they survive only on the payments for bull jumping ceremonies.

Mazes eat only milk, honey and meat. Once they marry their diet can change. This is also the period in their lives when a male knows his intended wife, but is free to be with any woman in the village who is not his betrothed. These are the traditions passed down through generations in the Omo River Valley.
