These are tracks in the tundra left by poachers. The Kamchatka Shelf in Russia is a pretty inaccessible place. You have to fly in and out by MI-8 helicopter. The fear is that the roads being built for oil and gas pipelines through this area will open these inaccessible areas to more poaching.
